Course Overview
The Islamic Wealth Management course is designed to offer a comprehensive understanding of Islamic finance and its application in managing wealth in accordance with Sharia principles. This course spans three days, with each session focused on different aspects of Islamic wealth management, including ethical investing, Sharia-compliant financial products, and strategies for sustainable wealth growth. Participants will gain insights into the distinct features of Islamic finance that set it apart from conventional finance, such as the prohibition of Riba (interest), Gharar (excessive uncertainty), and Maysir (gambling).

Prof. Dr. Ashurov Sharofiddin is a distinguished academic and leader in Islamic banking and finance. He is currently the Head of Programme for PIBF (Postgraduate Islamic Banking and Finance) and M.Sc. IBF (Arabic) at the Institute of Islamic Banking and Finance (IIiBF), International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM). With a strong commitment to advancing Islamic finance, he has earned a prestigious appointment as a Shariah Committee member at Al-Rajhi Banking and Investment Corporation Malaysia.Dr. Sharofiddin has contributed extensively to the field through various roles in notable organisations. By the end of the Islamic Wealth Management course, participants will have acquired the following outcomes:

Course Structure
This 3-day course is structured into three key sessions:
Day 1: Foundations of Islamic Wealth Management
Day 1 focuses on introducing the fundamental principles of Islamic wealth management and how they distinguish it from conventional finance. Participants will start with an overview of Islamic finance principles, including the prohibition of Riba (usury), Gharar (uncertainty), and Maysir (gambling), all of which form the foundation of Islamic finance. These concepts are central to Islamic wealth management, ensuring fairness and ethical behavior in financial transactions. Following this, the course will introduce a range of Sharia-compliant financial products such as Sukuk (Islamic bonds), Islamic mutual funds, and equity investments that adhere to Sharia law. Day 2 will delve deeper into the practical aspects of investment and portfolio management in the context of Islamic finance. The session begins with how to build a Sharia-compliant investment portfolio, ensuring that all investments align with Islamic principles by avoiding prohibited sectors such as alcohol, gambling, and conventional banking. Participants will then explore Islamic investment instruments, including Sukuk, Islamic mutual funds, and real estate investments, and how to evaluate these options for long-term growth. The course will also cover risk management strategies in Islamic finance, focusing on how to minimize uncertainty (Gharar) while maintaining equitable profit-sharing. Course Assessment
To ensure a comprehensive evaluation of participants’ progress and understanding of each module, the program adopts the following assessment method:
Quizzes and Tests: Short quizzes will be used to assess participants' understanding of key concepts introduced in each session.
The passing mark for this program is 60%, and participants are required to maintain an overall minimum of 75% attendance for each module to successfully complete the course.
