Call for Speakers — Global Table Discussion - Digital Health & AI: Can Technology Solve the Global Healthcare Crisis?
Digital Health & AI: Can Technology Solve the Global Healthcare Crisis?
📅 4 April 2026 | 🕓 2:00–3:00 PM AEST | Hybrid (Sydney + Online)
Healthcare systems worldwide are under unprecedented pressure. Rising demand, ageing populations, chronic diseases, and workforce shortages are straining hospitals, clinics, and public health systems. Into this mix enters Artificial Intelligence (AI) and digital health — with promises of faster diagnostics, predictive analytics, personalised medicine, and streamlined operations. But can technology truly solve the global healthcare crisis, or is it an incomplete solution to deeper systemic challenges?
This second event in our Global Table Discussion 2026 Series will bring together leading voices from medicine, public health, digital technology, government, and industry to ask: Is AI-powered digital health the breakthrough we need, or just another patch on a broken system?
Why This Discussion Matters
Australia’s healthcare sector is both advanced and overstretched. Emergency wait times, rural inequities, and growing chronic disease rates highlight vulnerabilities. Globally, these challenges are magnified in low- and middle-income countries, where digital solutions could have transformative impact. By addressing health equity, regulation, adoption barriers, and ethical concerns, this dialogue will shape the next decade of research and investment in digital health.
