Project -Indigenous-Led AI for Culturally Safe Diabetes and Chronic Disease Prevention
Co-designed with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, this project will develop a culturally safe, AI-driven health platform to prevent and manage diabetes and related chronic conditions. The system will integrate cultural determinants of health, community input, and clinical data, producing tailored prevention and care pathways. It will be deployed via mobile health applications and supported by Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisations (ACCHOs) and regional health services. The AI models will also address barriers to healthcare access in remote communities by supporting local health workers with real-time decision tools. Outputs will include validated community-specific health algorithms, culturally adapted educational resources, and a scalable prevention model that can be adapted internationally for Indigenous populations.
Call for Partnerships:
We welcome partnerships with universities, health services, primary care networks, technology providers, government agencies, and community health organisations to provide data access, clinical expertise, digital health capacity, and co-funding for large-scale trials.
