Global Land & Agriculture Lead
The Global Land & Agriculture Lead provides strategic direction for addressing land & agriculture related challenges for corporate clients, specifically by refining existing and developing new service offerings that are grounded in latest science and business strategy.
The Global Lead oversees a global team of subject matter experts and consultants who measure land-related environmental outcomes and develop holistic solutions that consider all impacts on nature (land, water, biodiversity), ensuring highest quality and alignment with client needs. Using strong organizational and leadership skills, the Global Lead guarantees seamless alignment and coordination across global and regional priorities.
Working across all Quantis branches and animating the community of Land & Agriculture experts, the Global Lead sets the definition and implementation of Quantis’ offering in this field across branches and sectors (e.g. Food & Beverage, Fashion & Sporting Goods, Cosmetics & Personal Care, and more).
The Global Lead is also expected to contribute as a senior Land & Agriculture expert in client-related projects, business development efforts, and as a thought leader both through internal (e.g. training) and external (e.g. webinars, conferences, publications) engagements as the key representative of the community.
The main mission of the Global Lead is to maintain Quantis at the cutting edge of expertise in Land & Agriculture to maximize the quality and impact of our advice to transform our clients, and to continuously improve our offerings.
As the Global Land & Agriculture Lead you will:
Develop, communicate, and execute on a clear vision and strategic direction for the Land & Agriculture Community in alignment with Quantis overarching mission, long-term goals and objectives
Provide strong peer leadership, using an empowering approach that can animate a community of experts across different geographies
Continuously engage with a diversity of stakeholders across Quantis, from sales-focused client managers to regional administrative personnel who handle staffing and recruiting, to execute the strategy and design innovative solutions
Be a subject matter expert in Land & Agriculture related topics, recognized internally and externally to provide strategic and expert inputs into projects
Deliver high quality enterprise-level transformational initiatives and projects
Proactively support sales processes to the design of clear offerings, and development of credible, trusted relationships with senior client project contacts and proactively seek client executive sponsor exposure

For 10+ years you’ve been sharpening your environmental skills, including Land & Agriculture related expertise, in a professional setting, ideally with some experience in the consulting and private sector.
You have extensive experience providing visionary leadership, strategic decision-making, and effective peer leadership and stakeholder engagement.
You are decisive, enable to make strategic decisions on complex technical challenges with the client in mind.
You can cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and regulatory bodies, to enhance the organization’s reputations and achieve mutual goals.
You have a scientific background, and a deep intellectual and business curiosity. A Master’s or PhD degree in science would be a plus.
You believe in the power of science to transform businesses.
You are able to provide senior level subject matter expertise on land use and land use change related topics, such as: Chain of custody models, agricultural management practices, farm-level assessments, annual and perennial cropping systems, regenerative agriculture, soil carbon accounting, carbon sequestration, biogenic carbon emissions, land use change, deforestation, watershed management, water impact assessment, and forestry management…
You are familiar or comfortable with most common guidelines, frameworks, and relevant regulations in the sustainability space, including but not limited to: GHG Protocol (incl. the LSR guidance), SBTi & SBTi FLAG, Value Change Initiative (VCI), Accountability Framework Initiative, EU Deforestation Regulation, certifications (e.g. Rainforest Alliance, Organic Certified), carbon credit market and program requirements, and more…

You have strong peer leadership skill and can lead teams without direct authority.
You are at ease with managing multiple projects in collaborating with stakeholders at different levels to collectively address client inquiries, supporting the business development efforts by providing expert opinion on how to solve client challenges.
You have an entrepreneurial spirit and are comfortable with ambiguity and change.
You communicate effectively in fluent English. Fluency in another language (German/French/Italian) would be a plus.
You have strong communication skills for external marketing positioning representing your company in conferences, specific events and hosting webinars.
Location: US preferred. Other Quantis locations (Switzerland, France, Germany, Italy) can be considered.
Salary- $140000/year - $160000/year
