I am Dr. Nazir Hussain, a dedicated academic/researcher/ project planner with 42 years of experience in the agriculture field with a particular interest in planning research and development projects for land and water use and rural development. I hold a Ph.D. Degree in Soil Science from the University of Agriculture, Faisalabad (UAF), Pakistan. I have two master's Degrees (M.Sc. in Agriculture (UAF) and M. in educational projects Planning and Management from Allama Iqbal Open University, Islamabad, Pakistan. I have also earned a Postgraduate Diploma in Soil Survey and Land Evaluation from ITC, Netherlands. During my studies and professional employment, I have focused my activities on learning and evolving innovative technologies/solutions that can ensure practicable and sustainable solutions, that are adaptable by the industrial sector to meet future environmental and climatic changes over the globe. I worked in Pakistan, the Sultanate of Oman, and Qatar.

I have worked to bridge the gaps between academic and industrial sectors because I believe that real development can only occur if both sectors successfully collaborate. For example, I worked with Qatar Shell and the Ministry of Environment and Agriculture, Qatar in the Food Security Program. My work has led to many significant achievements, such as the completion of five development projects, 128 International publications, 3 Books, book chapters, and innovative techniques. I won the Khalifa International Award of Innovative Agriculture, Dobai in 2012.

If a project is terminated before the schedule because of any reason, its analysis is required to diagnose the major reason for the failure so that it is not repeated.
