Nawab Ali Khan

Born in an erstwhile princely state of India - Rampur, Professor Nawab Ali Khan started his journey to teaching profession as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Commerce, Zakir Husain Delhi College, University of Delhi, Delhi on 13th February, 1991. He resigned from there on 23rd October, 1997 to join his own Alma mater on the same date.  Professor Khan while on foreign assignment has served as Full Professor and Programme Coordinator at the Department of Human Resource Management, College of Business Administration, Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University, Al-Kharj, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia w.e.f. 10th October 2011 to 14th March, 2016. He was also associated with Quality and Development Unit of the College. He was the member of Strategic Planning Committee and also the Development Coordinator. He was actively involved in the accreditation of the university by NCAAA and ACBSP (National and International accreditation agencies).
 
Professor Khan has excellent academic career. He is First Class right from High School to Post Graduation. His core area of specialization is Human Resource Management. Besides, he has expertise in the field of accounting also. He is currently a Senior Professor in the Department of Commerce, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh and Programme Coordinator PGDM, Centre of Professional Courses, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh.
 
Professor Khan has been the Chairman, Department of Commerce, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh w.e.f. 1st July 2019 to 30th June 2022 and Dean, Faculty of Commerce, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh w.e.f. 17th March 2016 to 16th March 2018. Professor Khan has also been involved in the residential life of students as Provost of Sir Ross Masood Hall (Hall of Residence), during 2009-2011. He has also been the Chairman, Central Allotment Committee, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh. Professor Khan has been a Member of Executive Council, Academic Council, Aligarh Muslim University Court (Governing Body), Finance Committee.
 
An expert in Human Resource Management and Accounting, Professor Khan has authored 8 books (In Press 2) and published 83 research papers in the reputed national and international Peer Reviewed/Indexed in journals Scopus, ISI and ABDC. He has organized 3 National Seminars sponsored by ICSSR, NSA and UTI and 5 Workshops in his Department. He has presented a large number of research papers in national and international seminars and conferences. He has chaired a number of Technical Sessions and delivered the Keynote and Special Addresses in a large number of national and international seminars and conferences. 
 
Professor Khan has been invited to deliver lectures as Resource Person at a large number of academic institutions. He is also the examiner of more than 3 dozen of national and international universities and other organizations such as IITs, State Public Service Commissions, Institute of Chartered Accountants and Company Secretaries etc. 
 
Professor Khan has been the Principal Investigator of 5 Research Projects funded by Ministry of Education, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Recently, he has been sanctioned one major research project by ICSSR, New Delhi. Professor Khan is on the panel as Editor, Associate Editor, Assistant Editor, Member of Advisory and Editorial Boards of more than 100 national and international reputed Journals. Apart from this, he is member of academic and administrative bodies of a large number of Universities and Institutions in India and abroad. 
 
Professor Khan has been the member of Syllabus Committee formed by UP Government under National Education Policy-2020 Common Minimum Syllabus of Undergraduate Commerce (B.Com.)  for all U.P. State Universities. 
 
Professor Khan is also associated with National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) as a member, Member Coordinator and Chairman of Peer Review Teams. Moreover, he was also actively associated with the NAAC accreditation of Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh as the Chairman, Department of Commerce, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh during second cycle. 
 
A prolific contributor to curriculum development, Professor Khan has been involved in implementing India’s National Education Policy-2020 as Member of Curriculum Development Committee of U. P. State and developing online courses for NPTEL under the Government of India’s MOOC initiative. He is also associated with NAAC - An Accreditation Agency of Ministry of Education, Government of India in different capacities such as a Member, Member Coordinator and Chairman of Peer Review Teams and has held editorial and advisory roles in over 100 national and international journals.
