I am an assistant professor in finance at the Department of Finance and Banking of the Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP). Currently, I am on study leave to pursue my PhD in finance. My public defence is scheduled on 11th October 2024 at the School of Business, Economics and Law of the University of Gothenburg, Sweden.
I have research interest in the broad area of Corporate Finance. However, a few of the specific areas are Insider investment horizon, Insider portfolio, Investors’ Choice, Insider trading, Capital market, sustainable investment, and Machine learning in finance. I am also interested in topics related to sustainable and climate finance.

In my doctoral research, I investigate the investment horizon of corporate insiders and its role in information asymmetry where I analyze the insider trading data of Sweden covering from 2000 to 2021. I employ the investment horizon concept to analyse the insiders’ trading activities at the firm level. I cluster insiders into short and long groups based on their investment horizon and examine the effect of their trading activities on the different market dynamics. I am experienced in working with different databases including the Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority’s database, the Euroclear Sweden (The Swedish Central Securities Depository) database, and the Capital IQ database. I use STATA and Python to process data and to obtain empirical findings.
