About
My journey in the field began as an Energy Advisor with GIZ on the Policy Advisory for Promoting Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (PAP) project. Prior to my current role, I held the position of Assistant Director (Wind & others) at the Sustainable and Renewable Energy Development Authority (SREDA), where I played a pivotal role in drafting the "Onshore wind power project installation guideline".
With a Master’s degree in Environmental Science and Management, my academic foundation complements my practical expertise in driving initiatives that mitigate climate change impacts in Bangladesh. I have led multiple projects focused on collecting site-specific wind data and conducting feasibility studies, including my contributions as Assistant Project Director for initiatives such as the "Household Energy Platform of Bangladesh" and the "Technical Assistance for Renewable Energy Resource Assessment and Piloting Project".
Throughout my career, I have been actively involved in policy formulation within Bangladesh’s renewable energy sector, notably contributing to guidelines on Biogas to energy, EV charging stations, and the revision of the Renewable Energy Policy 2008. My publication on the feasibility study of a solar-powered hydroponic fodder machine underscores my commitment to advancing innovative sustainable solutions.
As a passionate advocate and trainer, I have conducted numerous capacity-building sessions for government institutions on renewable energy project design, resource assessment, project development, and policy and regulations.
I am dedicated to continuing my work at the forefront of sustainable energy solutions, driving impactful change in Bangladesh's renewable energy landscape.
